Privacy
Privacy notice.
How we handle personal information, under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated 24 October 2026.
Who we are
Mindcraft (Pty) Ltd, trading as Mindcraft Foundry (registration number 2024/095893/07), a company registered in South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described here.
What we collect
What you give us when you write to us or bring us a title: your name, organisation, email address, and what you tell us about the book and its rights. If you book a call, the details you enter in the booking form. Our server also keeps short technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to assess a title you bring us, to arrange calls, and to keep a record of what was agreed. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it is kept
With service providers who host and process it for us under contract: cloud hosting and storage, email delivery, call scheduling, and AI services that help draft replies. Some of these providers store data outside South Africa; where they do, we use providers bound to protections comparable to POPIA.
How long we keep it
Enquiries for as long as we are discussing a title with you and for up to two years after, unless the law or an agreement requires longer. Server logs for up to 90 days.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers above, and anyone the law requires us to share it with. Manuscripts and titles are never used to train AI models without written permission.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
